Easter is always an exciting time on Chincoteague. All the restaurants & shops open, new foals are born, flowers bloom, and the first waves of visitors come to the island. This year, Easter looks especially promising because it seems Spring has finally arrived. The Weather Channel is forecasting a beautiful Easter Week with very little chance of rain.

The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Easter Decoy & Art Festival at the Chincoteague Combined School on Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th. The Chincoteague Island Family YMCA is hosting its annual Bay-to-Bay 5k walk & 10k run on Saturday morning, March 30th. The race starts at the Robert Reed Waterfront Park, Downtown. Entrance fees: Adults $35, Children $10. All proceeds benefit the Chincoteague Family YMCA.
